long time no chat! hello friend 🩷 its been almost a month since i sent my last email, and so much has happened!
hit a milestone birthday
spring is here!!
traveled to punta cana
so much life has happened and unfortunately, my reading has suffered. i’m a few books behind on my goal, so i plan to spend the next few weeks playing catch up, hence the combined reading wrap up.
i planned so much reading for my birthday trip, but alas, i was much more focused on being in the ocean and sleeping by the water.
in march i felt both sides of the spectrum with a dnf but two five star reads!! i think elsie silver’s work is not for me frankly. there is nothing more i hate than an enemies to lovers book where the MMC is just mean.
now let’s get into the good stuff…spring reads! there are some really fabulous books coming out this spring. its been so hard to keep up with new releases, that i’ve started putting them on my calendar to remember.
sunrise on the reaping by suzanne collins | i acknowledge this book was released two days before spring officially started, but it’s close enough. this is haymitch’s story, a prequel to the hunger games series that we know and love.
can’t get enough by kennedy ryan | forehead kisses for kennedy ryan!!! i love the skyland series so much. they have both made me cry. ryan is an incredible writer and i cannot wait to read hendrix’s story.
one golden summer by carley fortune | this is the second installment of the barry’s bay series. the first book, every summer after, is one of my favorite books of all time. it is one of the books i recommend to anyone wanting to get their feet wet with romance. i want to re-read the first book but i’m afraid of the emotional toll its bound to take on me again!
i didn’t realize this before but all of the books i’m most excited about are apart of a larger series. i think that describes the kind of reading i enjoy the most. i am a BIG series girl. there’s truly no better feeling to me as a reader then digging into the backlist of a series. speaking of which, i plan to dig into the women’s murder club by james patterson this season as well.
i’m so excited about all the upcoming reads, but i need more time in the day to get through all of these books!
love ya mean it!
